Dopo la strage e il sequestro delle navi della pace, la Tavola della pace, la Piattaforma delle Ong per il Medio Oriente - Associazione delle Ong Italiane e il Coordinamento Nazionale degli Enti Locali per la Pace e i Diritti Umani invitano tutti a firmare l'appello "Io sto con la pace". Appello Io sto con la pace! Prima la strage e il sequestro delle navi della pace. Dopo le condanne. E poi? Ci sono due modi per uscire da questa tragica vicenda. Il primo è quello più ovvio. Che, spenti i riflettori mediatici, tutto continui come prima, con più violenza, odio e tensioni in circolazione non solo nel Medio Oriente. Nel silenzio e nell'inazione generale. In attesa che un altro scontro sanguinoso, più cruento di quelli che continuano tutti i giorni in Terra Santa, desti la nostra attenzione. Fino ad ora è sempre stato così, anche dopo le peggiori tragedie. Il secondo è quello più difficile. Che questo shock convinca i responsabili della politica nazionale e internazionale a dire basta, a mettere fine al blocco di Gaza e all'occupazione e a costringere israeliani e palestinesi a chiudere subito questo conflitto nel rispetto del diritto e della legalità internazionale. E' tempo di cambiare l'approccio. La situazione è intollerabile e, come abbiamo visto, estremamente pericolosa. Non intervenire seriamente oggi è da irresponsabili perchè siamo e saremo sempre di più coinvolti. Per evitare la catastrofe, è necessario che tutte le donne e gli uomini consapevoli, attivi nella società civile come nelle istituzioni, uniscano i propri sforzi agendo con determinazione, continuità e lungimiranza. Ci sono molte cose che si possono e si debbono fare qui e la: alleviare le sofferenze, difendere i diritti umani, promuovere il dialogo, sostenere le forze di pace, esigere che la Rai metta a confronto le idee e le proposte, premere sui parlamenti e sui governi. L'anno scorso siamo andati a Gerusalemme per vedere la situazione, ascoltare i due popoli e riflettere sulle nostre responsabilità. Pochi giorni fa abbiamo nuovamente marciato da Perugia ad Assisi per rinnovare il nostro impegno per la pace e la giustizia. Oggi invitiamo tutti a dire: Io ci sto! E voglio fare la mia parte.

APPELLO! Alle popolazioni civili e le sue organizzazioni, alle autorità locali, nazionali e internazionali: IN NOME DEL DIRITTO INTERNAZIONALE: FERMIAMO LO STATO D’ISRAELE! Ciò che è accaduto stamattina 31 maggio 2010 nelle acque internazionali del Mare Mediterraneo è un atto di pirateria e di assassinio da parte di uno Stato contro Civili di tutto il mondo. Un commando militare dello Stato di Israele ha assalito una delle navi della Flottiglia Free Gaza con pacifisti a bordo e assassinato e ferito oltre una decina di persone il cui scopo era quello di portare aiuti umanitari alla popolazione palestinese di Gaza rompendo l’assedio di Israele alla popolazione di Gaza e denunciandone l’ illegitimità. Come artisti, operatori socio-culturali, di cooperazione internazionale, di scambi interculturali, di percorsi nuovi della formazione e di pace, imploriamo che i responsabili di tali atti vengano immediatamente deferiti alla corte internazionale di giustizia e che il genocidio e la pulizia etnica della popolazione palestinese da parte dello stato di Israele venga fermata con ogni mezzo dalle autorità competenti immediatamente! CHIEDIAMO ALLE POPOLAZIONI CIVILI DEL MONDO E ALLE LORO ORGANIZZAZIONI DI BOICOTTARE ECONOMICAMENTE E CULTURALMENTE ISRAELE COME GIÀ ACCADUTO CON IL SUDAFRICA DELL’APARTHEID CON SUCCESSO E DI PREMERE SULLE AUTORITÀ COMPETENTI AFFINCHÉ IL DIRITTO INTERNAZIONALE VENGA RIPRISTINATO SUL TERRITORIO DELLA PALESTINA STORICA! L’assalto alla Flottiglia umanitaria Free Gaza e l’assassinio e il ferimento di pacifisti internazionale confermano, purtroppo, la brutale volontà della politica coloniale (genocidio e pulizia etnica), terroristica e guerrafondaia dello Stato di Israele contro la popolazione palestinese, le popolazioni limitrofe e di chiunque sostiene i palestinesi o si oppone alla sua politica, che si sta reiterando da più di un secolo come movimento sionista e poi come Stato. Questo è in tutti i sensi inaccettabile, ripugnante e da fermare immediatamente. Tutto ciò costituisce un crimine contro l’umanità. Denunciamo per ciò le lacune della Comunità Internazionale nei confronti dello stato di Israele, che tenta di annientare l’esistenza del popolo palestinese come entità ideale e fisica. Denunciamo l’uso di atti di guerra continui (Libano, Gaza per ricordare solo gli ultimi due) - con uso anche di munizionamento DU e di armi proibite - da parte dello stato di Israele che stanno pregiudicando il futuro della intera regione inclusa la popolazione presente sul suolo dell’attuale Stato di Israele. Ricordiamo alla Comunità Europea e alle Autorità della Comunità Internazionale la loro responsabilità storica e attuale verso i circa 5 milioni di rifugiati palestinesi nel mondo e lo status irrisolto della Palestina storica. La popolazione palestinese è da decenni militarmente, economicamente, socialmente, fisicamente e psicologicamente oppressa, incarcerata, torturata e assassinata e il perpetuarsi di questa situazione nega ogni buon senso umano. Riteniamo pretestuoso ogni giustificazione dello Stato di Israele riguardante la sopravvivenza della popolazione presente sul suo suolo. Riteniamo nel contesto politico-storico lo stato israeliano responsabile anche delle perdite umane e della disumanizzazione della stessa società civile israeliana. Riteniamo l’attuale situazione di occupazione e aggressione nel Medio-Oriente particolarmente pericolose perché incita a conflitti, guerre e terrorismi nel mondo. L’attuale situazione mette a repentaglio ogni lavoro e risorsa impegnati in percorsi di cooperazione, sviluppo umano e di pace e mette a rischio il futuro della società civile mondiale. APPEAL! To civil populations and their organisations, and local, national, and international authorities: IN THE NAME OF THE INTERNATIONAL LAW: LET US STOP THE STATE OF ISRAEL! What happened this morning 31 May 2010 in the international waters of the Mediterranean Sea is an act of piracy and murder by a State against Civilians from all over the world. A military commando of the State of Israel has assaulted one of the ships of Free Gaza fleet with pacifists on board; they have murdered and injured more than ten people, whose purpose was to bring humanitarian aids to the Palestinian population of Gaza, break the siege of Israel on the population of Gaza, and expose its illegitimacy. As artists, socio-cultural operators of international cooperation, intercultural exchanges, new education and peace processes, we implore that those who have committed these acts are immediately deferred to the International Court of Justice and the genocide and ethnic cleansing of the Palestinian population by the state of Israel is stopped with all means by competent authorities now! WE ASK THE CIVIL POPULATIONS OF THE WORLD AND THEIR ORGANIZATIONS TO ECONOMICALLY AND CULTURALLY BOYCOTT ISRAEL, AS IT WAS SUCCESSFULLY DONE WITH SOUTH AFRICA OF APARTHEID AND MAKE PRESSURE ON COMPETENT AUTHORITIES SO THAT THE INTERNATIONAL LAW IS RESTORED ON THE TERRITORY OF HISTORICAL PALESTINE! The assault to the humanitarian Free Gaza fleet and murder and injuring of international pacifists confirm, unfortunately, the brutal will of the colonial (genocide and ethnic cleansing), terroristic, and warmongering policy of the State of Israel against the Palestinian population, bordering populations, and anyone supporting the Palestinians or opposing the Israeli policy, which has been reiterating from more than a century as Zionist movement and then as a State. This is totally unacceptable, repugnant, and has to be stopped now. This is a crime against humankind. For this reason, we denounce the gaps of the International Community against the State of Israel, which is trying to cancel the existence of the Palestinian people as an ideal and physical entity. We denounce the use of continuous war acts (Lebanon and Gaza to remind just the last two) – with the use also of DU ammunitions and prohibited weapons – by the State of Israel, which are badly affecting the future of the entire region, including the population living within the borders of the present State of Israel. We remind the European Union and Authorities of the International Community about their historical and present responsibility towards the 5 million Palestinian refugees in the world and the unsolved status of historical Palestine. The Palestinian population has been militarily, economically, socially, physically, and psychologically oppressed, imprisoned, tortured, and murdered for decades, and the perpetuation of this situation denies any human common sense. We believe that any justification of the State of Israel regarding the survival of the population living within its territory is an alleged one. We believe that, in this political-historical context, that the State of Israel is also causing victims and the dehumanization of the Israeli civil society. We believe that the present situation of occupation and aggression in the Middle East is particularly dangerous, as it urges to conflicts, wars, and terrorism in the world. The present situation is jeopardizing all work and resources focusing on cooperation, human development, and peace and is jeopardizing the future of the world civil society.

19 assassinati tra i pacifisti che portavano aiuti a Gaza, tra cui 15 turchi Scritto il 2010-05-31 in News Paltimes.net. Il secondo canale della tv israeliana conferma che i morti ammazzati dai militari israeliani tra i partecipanti alla Flotilla sono 19, mentre i feriti sono circa 60, alcuni dei quali in gravi condizioni. L'Ente di soccorso turco IHH afferma che 15 vittime sono turche, tra cui anche un parlamentare della Repubblica di Turchia. Tutte le vittime risulterebbero essere state condotte in ospedali dell'Entità Sionista. Sempre il secondo canale afferma che Shaykh Raed Salah è gravemente ferito, colpito da un proiettile alla testa e a un piede. A seguito di queet'orribile massacro, Turchia, Grecia, Francia, Danimarca, Spagna, Svezia e Giordania hanno convocato i rispettivi ambasciatori israeliani per condannare duramente un crimine commesso contro innocenti che stavano portando aiuti alla popolazione embargata di Gaza. The investigation must be conducted by non-military officials. Among the issues to be investigated are whether the army used proportionate force, whether the forces were trained to cope with this type of event, were they equipped with the correct means, what open-fire regulations were given to the soldiers, and whether alternative options were considered. The IDF Spokesperson claims that extreme violence was used against the soldiers by activists on the boat. This information is based solely on statements of soldiers. However, before reaching conclusions, the investigation must consider the testimonies of all eyewitnesses to the events, including persons who participated in the flotilla who are currently in custody in Israel. Tavola della Pace Chiediamo verità e non menzogna. L'Italia condanni questo atto criminale! Flavio Lotti: L'Italia condanni a chiare lettere questo atto criminale. Convochi l'ambasciatore d'Israele. E poi s'impegni davvero per chiudere definitivamente il conflitto israelo-palestinese.

UN PONTE PER ... MARINA ISRAELIANA ATTACCA LA FLOTTIGLIA DELLA PACE Roma, 31 maggio - Questa mattina, alle ore 4.30, col favore del buio della notte, la Marina israeliana ha attaccato la Freedom Flotilla in acque internazionali con navi ed elicotteri, causando decine di morti e feriti tra gli attivisti per i diritti umani a bordo della nave turca Mavi Marmara. Una strage inutile che osserviamo con dolore. Un Ponte per... e la redazione di Osservatorioiraq.it sono in contatto con attivisti della Flotilla per documentare l'accaduto e per organizzare azioni di mobilitazione e di sostegno in Italia. Un Ponte per... chiede al Governo Italiano, a tutte le istituzioni nazionali, europee e internazionali: - che lo Stato di Israele venga ricondotto al rispetto del diritto internazionale e delle convenzioni che regolano i rapporti fra Stati; - che venga fermamente condannata l'operazione israeliana in quanto illegale; - che tutti gli attivisti e le attiviste, insieme alle navi e al materiale sequestrato, vengano rilasciati immediatamente. Le sei navi della Freedom Flottilla, con a bordo centinaia di attivisti internazionali, navigavano pacificamente verso Gaza per portare materiale indispensabile alla sopravvivenza della popolazione palestinese della Striscia, come attestato dagli ispettori internazionali prima della partenza della flotta. Ribadiamo che le barche che componevano la Flottiglia erano in tutto e per tutto PACIFICHE, LEGALI E UMANITARIE ed erano dirette a sostenere la popolazione di Gaza, stremata da un assedio che dura ormai da più di tre anni.

PCHR Condemns Israeli Attack on Gaza Freedom Flotilla The Palestinian Center for Human Rights (PCHR) strongly condemns the crime perpetrated by Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) earlier this morning, 31 May 2010, when Israeli Naval Forces attacked the "Gaza Freedom Flotilla" in international waters as it was sailing towards the Gaza Strip. IOF used excessive and lethal force in its attack on the ships, which left dozens of international civilian solidarity activists who were on board dead or injured. Today's crime is hideous, and it is a shame for the international community to remain silent while IOF commits systematic war crimes against civilians. PCHR believes that Israel would not continue to commit crimes and attacks against civilians, including the crime committed today against the "Gaza Freedom Flotilla" and those international solidarity activists aboard, if the international community did not remain silent, thereby failing to fulfill its obligations and duties to enforce international law and provide protection for civilians. Today's attack is characteristic of a long series of war crimes and grave violations carried out by IOF against civilians, including the latest Israeli military offensive on the Gaza Strip, in addition to the imposition of collective punishment measures against civilians through the ongoing siege imposed on the Gaza Strip. Unfortunately and regrettably, the world has remained motionless and there has been no intervention to stop such crimes or prosecute the perpetrators. Rather, attempts have been ongoing to foil the report of the UN Fact-Finding Mission on Gaza Conflict (i.e. the Goldstone Report), which provided for the first time practical mechanisms to prosecute Israeli war crimes; such attempts seek to undermine justice and preclude the prosecution of Israeli war criminals, thereby offering them impunity. Members of the international community, particularly the High Contracting Parties to the Geneva Conventions, are required to fulfill their obligations to protect civilians and immediately intervene to stop crimes perpetrated against civilians. The ongoing silence of the international community is effectively an open invitation for IOF to continue to challenge international law, to act as a state above the law, and to continue to commit crimes against civilians. It is time now to put an end to offering impunity to those who commit crimes of the nature outlined above. The impunity with which these criminals operate results from a policy held by the influential member states of the United Nations of favoring political interests and considerations at the expense of international law and civilians, and it comes with the heavy price of sacrificing human rights, international law, and the rule of law. Today's crime reconfirms the duplicity of Israel's claims regarding the end of its military control of the Gaza Strip, and further proves that the Gaza Strip will remain an occupied territory so long as the Israeli military control of the air, sea and land is ongoing.
